Dog Training now there's a thought

My first introduction into this venture was many years ago with a Border Collie X. A friend of mine had started taking his dog to Training Classes, and boy did we get to here about it. I tried to avoid bumping into him as all he talked about was Dog Training and how good his dog was, nobody had a dog as good as his.
Eventually he persuaded me to take my dog, but at 4 years" the dog not me" he said he would be no good.
The training evening came and off Kim "my dog" we set. The classes were held only a short walk, or in our case Drag from where we lived
We reached the hall, boy was I exhausted, Kim dragged me into the hall, match to the amusement of the O.A.Ps who were playing BINGO. Nobody told us Dog Training was upstairs !
We were quickly ushered out of the room only to be faced by a flight of stairs. Kim didn't do stairs. Stairs in his mind were an object to get up as quick as he could.
By the time I had gone up 3 steps Kim was at the top pushing the door open. I managed to grab him  just before he went all the way in.
I am now out of breath, his chain lead has turned my fingers into crinkle cut chips, and my new shoes have caused blisters on both heels.
We walked in the room and I found a seat well away from everybody else. Oh I forgot to mention Kim was a fighter !
Hoping just to sit and watch for a while I was horrified when the trainer pointed at us saying "this is your class" He shouted out several orders like Heel, About, the rest of the class followed his instructions, Kim just dragged me to the nearest dog to have a fight, or mate it, he was so excited, I wanted to go home.
I stayed at that Club for several years. One of the trainers was leaving and I was asked to become a Trainer.
I started to do Obedience Competitions, and when I got Married I bought a Shetland Sheepdog,What a tail there is to tell about that.
30 years later Inspite of  my embarrassing introduction, I am still holding Dog Training Classes, or should I say Owner Training Classes
Oh and as to my friend, well shall we just say he stopped going training.

Over the many years I have been Involved in Dog Training as a Dog Owner, Competitor, Trainer and Judge I guess I have come across many many dog problems,So you never know I may be able to help you with yours. So Please ask.
